Surpassing Factual Preservation

This historiographical paper gains novelty by rebutting the medicine-centered methodology frequently employed in positivist studies of pharmaceutical history. Based on critiques current literature, this conveys two interrelated points. First, factual approach adopted historians demonstrates explanatory limitations that report-like discourses history drugs and medicines are too pedantic to be rationally insightful. Second, attempts developing a sociocultural framework for British opium consumption remain an underdeveloped topic constructionist historiography science. Taken together, author hypothesize research introducing theory interaction uses interpretive humanize past philosophical explorations human-centered world.
